Aspen celebrates MCS Success
Aspen has received accreditation in Solar PV to add to it's Air Source heat pumps accreditation.
Air Source Heat Pump Accreditation
Aspen achieves MCS accreditation for installation of Air Source Heat Pumps, such as Mitsubishi Ecodan and Daikin Altherma.
Let’s Do Business Expo 24th June
Aspen will be showcasing the renewable technologies of air source heat pumps and solar power at the annual business exhibition to be held at The Winter Garden in Eastbourne on 24th June.
Aspen achieve greener status - The Aspen Group has been awarded the ISO 14001 certificate for its commitment to improving the company’s environmental performance.
Aspen has implemented an effective Environmental Management System (EMS) which is designed to address the balance between maintaining profitability and reducing a business’s environmental impact.
Mitsubishi PV Systems - Mitsubishi Electric’s photovoltaics (PV) are now available in the UK to help organisations and individuals meet their environmental and energy saving objectives. Photovoltaic modules utilise light energy not heat to generate DC current. This is converted to AC current by an inverter, making it available for use within the building or to export if surplus energy is generated. With no moving parts a PV system runs silently and reliably, with the likely lifetime of the modules being 30 years or more.
Clean energy cash back scheme - Feed-in Tariffs (FITs) were introduced to Great Britain on 1st April 2010. The scheme requires energy suppliers to make regular payments to householders and communities who generate their own electricity from renewable or low carbon sources such as solar (PV) panels or wind turbines. The scheme guarantees a minimum payment for all electricity generated by the system, as well as a separate payment for the electricity exported to grid.
Renewable heat incentive - The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is designed to provide financial support that encourages individuals, communities and businesses to switch from using fossil fuel for heating, to renewables such as wood fuel. The Government is currently consulting on the design of the incentive which they are proposing to introduce in April 2011.
